Lela is a multiracial black visual artist and dancer. She finds inspiration from her childhood home near Hoǧáŋ Waŋká kiŋ (Dakota) aka Jiibayaatigo-ziibi (Anishinaabe) aka the St. Croix River Valley. Lela is currently pursuing a masters of fine arts in the interdisciplinary area of visual arts at the University of Minnesota.
